By using findfido.ai you agree to these terms. They exist to keep expectations honest: FIDO is a free tool that helps dogs find homes, and it works best when everyone understands what it is and what it is not.

Breed results are an estimate, not a DNA test

FIDO's breed identification, including anything labeled "FIDO DNA Results," is produced by AI vision analysis of the photo you upload. No genetic material is tested and no laboratory is involved. Results are for fun and for adoption discovery. They are not veterinary advice, not a medical assessment, and not a substitute for a genetic test. If breed certainty matters for your situation (such as housing, insurance, or health decisions), use an actual DNA test and talk to a veterinarian.

Listings come from shelters and rescues

Adoptable dog listings, photos, and details are provided by shelters and rescues through RescueGroups.org. We refresh them regularly but cannot guarantee accuracy or availability; a dog you see here may already be adopted. All adoptions are completed directly with the shelter or rescue under their own process, requirements, and fees. FIDO is not a party to any adoption.

Your uploads

Only upload photos you have the right to share. You keep ownership of your photos; you give us permission to process them to provide the site's features, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not upload unlawful content or anything that is not a good-faith use of the site.

Generated content

Bios, social posts, and other text on this site may be AI-generated from information provided by you or by shelters. Review anything before you rely on it or publish it.

No warranty

findfido.ai is provided as is, free of charge, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the site, from breed estimates, or from adoption listings and outcomes.
