Health

[YELLOW]Background: Dog has entered the shelter 4 times as stray since 7/23/26. Most recent stray intake on 9/7/26. Given Green dot on intake. No issues handling for intake procedures including vaccines.B Volunteers have been able to leash, walk, and pet dog during outings with no issues. Dog has been relaxed with all handling in the shelter. Yellow for volunteer handling only because dog resists re-kenneling. Dog can be made available for adoption after hold period.Adopter must be prepared for the time, energy, patience and commitment needed to raise and train an active dog. Potential adopters should be familiar with the characteristics of Husky breed dogs (require regular grooming, tendency to be vocal, jump / dig under fences, potential for prey drive) and be prepared to provide sufficient exercise and enrichment. Note that this dog has been found stray several times over the past two months and adopters should be prepared for dog to attempt to escape the home or fenced areas.B B [2026-09-18 16:32:00.000]
