Ember

Health

Ember is very sweet but can be reactive to new people, especially men. She does well on leash and is working on not pulling. She is protective of her humans and she does not like people on bikes (growls and lunges at them). She will growl when even people she knows tries to approach when she is protecting “her person” or chew. She plays rough with other dogs but adapts to smaller dogs well and backs off when they tell her they have had enough. She has lots of energy but will calm down eventually. She does snap a little as part of her play and we have been trying to redirect this behavior. She has made some regressions with her resource guarding due to her crate rest during her heart worm treatment but we hope to work on these again when her activity restrictions are completed. Ember needs an experienced owner who can continue to work with her and redirect her unwanted behaviors that may develop.
